Adapted from ‘ivory tower’, which means metaphorical place where people are happily cut off from the rest of the world; this studio apartment designed to be a sanctuary for a young couple when they visit their hometown, Yogyakarta.

 

Given a very small space, the design goal is to make the room feels bigger than it should be. Besides the layout is designed very carefully based on activity flows, exploration the shade of monolithic ivory white intended to make this tiny room feels more spacious. Although monochromatic, variety of textures and ambience lighting are adding richness into the room experience.
